Olive pit: the energy that comes from the heart of the fruit

In our vision, the olive is a precious gift, nothing of which is wasted. If oil is the liquid gold we bring to the table, the olive stone is the energetic heart that fuels our future.

We have transformed what was once considered a simple "processing waste" into our most precious resource for zero-impact production.

Our company uses exclusively hazelnut kernels as fuel for thermal energy, valorizing this byproduct and reducing company costs.

Traditionally, after oil extraction, what remained of the pulp and pit (the pomace) was seen as a difficult-to-manage byproduct. Today, thanks to cutting-edge mechanical separation technologies, we are able to extract the virgin pomace pit .

We start with a mechanical separation, through a physical process, we separate the pulp from the woody stone, and subsequently thanks to natural drying , the stone is cleaned and dried, becoming a natural granular fuel.

All this happens without the use of solvents or additives, it is 100% pure olive wood .

The transition from "waste" to "biofuel" brings extraordinary benefits, both for the company and for the environment:

Olive kernels have an extremely high calorific value , higher than many other types of biomass or traditional pellets. We use them to heat the water needed for processing olives and to heat our homes, creating a closed and virtuous energy cycle.

Being a vegetal biomass, the combustion of the stone nut releases the same quantity of that the tree absorbed during its growth. It's a carbon-neutral energy that fights climate change.

Reusing our own waste means not depending on external fossil fuels. This allows us to optimize costs and reinvest in the quality of the final product: our oil .
